Okay, in all the other sections we’ve sort of done a quick description of that particular product category. But I feel like I shouldn’t have to do that with gloves. Right? I mean, you don’t need me to describe “Gloves” in a general sense, do you? I’m going to assume that you don’t and carry on.
Cut Resistant Gloves: Sometimes called “Cut Gloves” or “Cut Protection Gloves”, these are quickly becoming some of the most commonly used gloves in the industry. There are two main tests used to rank a gloves level of cut protection. The EU uses what’s called EN 388 testing, has scores that go from 1 through 5, and basically uses a glorified pizza cutter to determine a materials level of cut protection. And in the States we primarily use an ANSI system, which rates gloves from A1-A9, and uses what is ultimately best described as a razor blade to cut into the material to see how well it holds up. Like anything else, Cut Resistant Gloves have a bunch of different options. So don’t mess around with your employees safety. Please call us so we can help find the perfect glove for your application.
Leather Gloves: Okay, this is sort of a loaded sub-category of gloves. You’ve got “Drivers Gloves”, “Leather Palm Gloves”, and “Welders Gloves” (aka “Welding Gloves) just to name the most common. So… many… different… options. But don’t feel like it’s too hard to dial in the right glove. We are here to help you. Call us to schedule an appointment!
Disposable Gloves: Some people call these “Latex Gloves”, “Nitrile Gloves”, “Exam Gloves”, “Vinyl Gloves”, or who know what else. We’ve all seen these. We know what we’re talking about. And RPS can help you with these. Just call us. I dare you. We’ll help save you money!
Hot Mill Gloves: If you need these, then you know what they are. Designed to provide protection against heat. Many different oiptions and styles. But don’t worry, we got you. Just give us a chance and we’ll earn our keep!
Chore Gloves: An endless number of applications for these. But, to me, it just means sort of generic/economical gloves that are used by those in relatively unskilled positions. Think something like “Hey, New Guy, go pick up all that garbage out back!” or “What do you mean the broom handle is giving you a blister? Then go grab a pair of the cheap gloves in the stockroom!” or “Splinters? Well yeah, we’re moving lumber. Just grab some of those basic gloves in the truck.”
Mechanics Gloves: This one kind of tricks you. These are not just for Mechanics. Lots of industries use these. Construction, Maintenance, Landscaping, etc. You need ‘em. We got ‘em. Call us today!
PVC Gloves: These are sometimes called “Chemical Gloves” or “Chem Gloves” because of the level of protection they can provide against certain chemicals. If you’ve made it this far into these product category descriptions then I don’t think it’s shock you to find out that these come in an assortment of different styles, sizes, materials, thicknesses, etc. And we’re eager to assist you in finding the right one. Please reach out to us to discuss your needs.
Impact Gloves: These could really be a subsection of most of the gloves above because you can get Impact Protection in a lot of different styles of gloves. Basically, they’re gloves that have a TPR
Hi-Vis Gloves: Obviously short for “High Visibility Gloves” these are similar to Impact Gloves in that they are available in many of the styles mentioned previously. And, they are what they sound like they would be.
Insulated Gloves: Sometimes these are called “Winter Gloves”, “Winter Lined Gloves”, “Cold Gloves”, or other words that ultimately mean “gloves that keep your hands warm in cold environments”. I will not be explaining what these gloves do. But we’ll be more than happy to sell them to you.
