Bandsaw Blades are awesome.
Though the industry has never come to a consensus on whether it’s “bandsaw” blades or “band saw” blades, we’ll call them whatever you want as long as you give us the opportunity to work with you on your next project.
You name it, we sell it. Bi-Metal? Got it! Carbide Tipped? You know it! Die Band? Of course! Tungsten Carbide Grit? Absolutely! Carbon Blades? Why, yes, we’ll do those!
There are so many different options and styles. And we’d be more than happy to help you spec in the right blade to maximize performance, cut quality, blade life, cost effectiveness, etc. Heck, if you’d like, we’ll even come out and help you dial in the best feeds/speeds for your current blades. And we do our best to source our blades domestically. Almost all of the SKUs we carry are made right here in the USA!
Bi-Metal Blades:
These are probably the most common. You can get these for saws as small as those little portable tools you can get at the big box stores all the way up to huge blades for yard saws. These can be used to cut a variety of different metals, castings, and even wood (soft, hard, and re-sawing). There are a ton of variables in choosing a blade like TPI (Teeth Per Inch), rake angle, thickness, gullets, etc. We’re here to help you with picking the right blade!
Die Band Blades:
A style of Bi-Metal blades, these are good for more specific applications like cutting Tool Steels, Die Blocks, difficult to machine materials, and even thin walled substrates. You’ve got a tough to cut product? We’ve got a solution!
Carbide Tipped:
These are primarily used for tougher applications where the substrate being cut is either really hard or fairly abrasive. We see these used a lot on exotic alloys, aluminum castings, and hard aerospace materials. But these can also be used for wood in certain applications.
Carbide Gritted:
These are blades that have a tungsten carbide grit on the cutting edge. Available in both gulleted and continues edges. Lots of user specific applications for these. We see them quite a bit in foam, insulation, and refractory material applications. Another great application for these is when cutting softer material with a hand feed vertical saw. Though it is NEVER safe to run your hand into a moving blade, a continues carbide grit edge blade may be significantly more forgiving to accidents than a toothed blade. Let us know if you’d like to test a blade!
Carbon Blades:
These are a great economical choice for most wood applications. Whether large mill blades, medium furniture shop blades, or even blades designed to cut pallets. Lots of options for these. And we’re here to help you find the perfect one for you!
Bandsaw Accessories:
We’ve got Tooth Cleaning Brushes and Refills available to make sure your gullets are getting cleared out. There’s also Tension Gauges to make sure blades are installed at optimal tension. We even have Feed Rate Monitors available, which can improve run rates in real time to correct machine settings.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
